Weak Current
- Low current applications are generally used in signal transmission, communication, data processing, measurement and control systems. These systems are used in many different areas such as telephone, television, radio, computer, internet and security systems. For example, to provide telephone and internet connection, signals must be transmitted appropriately and therefore low current systems are used.
- Low current systems differ from power current systems, which use electrical energy. Power current uses high voltage and high current to provide power and is used in devices that require energy, such as household electricity.
- Low-voltage systems often require special wiring, hardware, and software and are designed and implemented by electrical engineers, electronics engineers, and computer engineers. These systems are sensitive to environmental factors (e.g., electric fields, magnetic fields, noise, etc.) and therefore must be designed, implemented, and maintained correctly.
